For the second year in a row, Best Buddies Rochester has hosted their Champion of the Year competition and celebrated with their “Party with a Purpose! On November 15, 10 Champions were celebrated for helping to raise over $47,000 for Inclusion.
Best Buddies New York Leadership Trainings were held in our Long Island and New York City Regions for 75 high school and college students. Throughout the trainings, our student leaders were active participants in discussions about the three pillars of Best Buddies and how they support our mission.
This past June, ten Best Buddies participants from the NYC Citizens and Jobs Programs spoke on a panel about their careers to high school students from Mamaroneck High School.
On October 20th over 60 Best Buddies participants and their family’s got together at Wickham farms for a day of fun!
In September we had our first area-wide event for Best Buddies New York to celebrate Eunice Kennedy Shriver and her legacy of kindness.
