The Director of Operations is responsible for providing operational support as appropriate given state office structure. The Alumni Database & Prospect Research Analyst, will develop and manage a superior research/database management function, within the established Raiser’s Edge database, to support the development team’s major gifts, alumni fundraising and program goals.
Manager, Web Content – Miami, FL
The Web Content Manager will serve as the project manager and content editor for all Best Buddies WordPress websites specifically related to fundraising events hosted by our organization’s state offices (galas, 5Ks, and other events held across the country). Primary responsibilities include managing and updating existing event templates, copying/updating/optimizing templated event sites, resizing photos/sponsor logos, and working with our web and database team to ensure seamless functionality of sites at all times.

The Program Manager for School Friendship Programs works with area schools (middle, high, and/or college) to maintain quality Best Buddies chapters. Key responsibilities include recruiting, training, and mentoring student leaders with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and working with faculty, campus and/or host site administration to form quality friendships between people with and without IDD.
Program Manager – Adult Friendship – Miami, FL, New York, NY
The Program Manager, Adult Friendship works with community volunteers and local agencies that serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to develop and maintain successful one-to-one friendships. Key responsibilities include working in the community with business and civic organization, recruiting, training, and mentoring participants with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The Program Supervisor supervises Program Managers to ensure the success of local programs, which may also include the direct management of programs as assigned. They are also responsible for overseeing day-to-day office logistics and providing support to the Area/State Director as needed.

The Employment Consultant develops relationships with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and employers and works to create and ensure the long-term success of integrated employment arrangements. Employment opportunities are crafted with both the aspirations and support needs of the participants, and the needs of the employer to ensure mutual compatibility and sustainability. Employment Consultants must comply with all state and federal regulations regarding reporting, certification, and health and safety, and must maintain an active awareness of and willingness to advocate for the well being of all participants.

The Coordinator, Communications works with the Senior Manager, Sponsor Development & Communications handling all internal and external media and communication efforts for Best Buddies International, Inc. Candidates must be collaborative in nature and equipped with a strong work ethic. As a member of a small team that is known for hustle and high-quality work, this position will provide intense exposure to the field of public relations. Coordinator, Development/Fundraising – Las Vegas, NV, Peoria, IL
The Development Coordinator is responsible for providing logistical support to specific fundraising and fund development initiatives, including special events, grants, and donor development, including management of online fundraising, tracking, and reporting.
Coordinator, Operations – Miramar, FL, Tampa, FL
The Deputy Director, Development will collaborate with the State Director to secure revenue programs and to promote the mission of Best Buddies. Specifically, the DDOD is expected to ensure the success of state fundraising events and to secure new corporate and individual funding.
Intern, Alumni Relations – Miami, FL
Responsible for reviewing and accurately entering alumni data into our systems. Will maintain accurate, up-to-date and useable information in our alumni database. This information will be used for our Alumni Relations engagement and fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will be experienced with data entry, with a keen eye for detail and organization, and familiarity with spreadsheets. Prospect Research experience is valuable. Current college student would be ideal for this position.
Intern,Web Design/Developer – Miami, FL
The Web Design/Developer Intern will assist our web department with routine updates and maintenance of Best Buddies WordPress websites. Primary responsibilities include updating website photos, blog posts, and file organization and management. Opportunities for creative exploration for additional projects will be assigned based on intern’s unique skillset and level of experience.
