The Best Buddies Leadership Academy is a new initiative that is specifically focused on building our work to advance our mission pillar “Leadership”. This new initiative will develop programs and opportunities to advance the leadership capacities of our participants, employers, and our network of volunteers around the world while we support them in their work to meet our global mission. The position will support each of the leadership endeavors within Best Buddies and create protocols, strategies, and a long-term vision for the Best Buddies Leadership Academy with senior leadership. The Director will foster, and manage relationships with Best Buddies participants, corporations, and the community in offering trainings about employment, diversity education and working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to secure strategic speaking opportunities.
Manager, Benefits & Payroll – Miami, FL
The Benefits and Payroll Manager is responsible for processing and compliance of a $14M payroll for approximately 320 employees in 42 state offices. The manager is responsible for compensation and benefits administration.
Manager, State Web Design & Development – Miami, FL
The Manager, State Web Design and Development, will serve as the project manager for all of Best Buddies websites related to the positioning of Best Buddies mission and fundraising efforts for state offices. The Manager is responsible for all aspects of the development, budget, logistics, marketing, customer service, management, fundraising and execution of the annual “Best Buddies Adventure”. This position will work with the Best Buddies Challenges Development team to target existing supporters and to develop new prospects along with select sponsors to fund each adventure. The Manager, Donor Relations and Communications is responsible for implementing a comprehensive program providing consistent stewardship, meaningful recognition, and engagement opportunities for all donors and target groups. The Program Manager for School Friendship Programs works with area schools (middle, high, and/or college) to maintain quality Best Buddies chapters. Key responsibilities include recruiting, training, and mentoring student leaders with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and working with faculty, campus and/or host site administration to form quality friendships between people with and without IDD.
Program Manager – Adult Friendship – New York, NY
The Program Manager, Adult Friendship works with community volunteers and local agencies that serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to develop and maintain successful one-to-one friendships. Key responsibilities include working in the community with business and civic organization, recruiting, training, and mentoring participants with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Program Supervisor – San Francisco, CA
The Program Supervisor supervises Program Managers to ensure the success of local programs, which may also include the direct management of programs as assigned. They are also responsible for overseeing day-to-day office logistics and providing support to the Area/State Director as needed.

The Employment Consultant develops relationships with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and employers and works to create and ensure the long-term success of integrated employment arrangements. Employment opportunities are crafted with both the aspirations and support needs of the participants, and the needs of the employer to ensure mutual compatibility and sustainability. Employment Consultants must comply with all state and federal regulations regarding reporting, certification, and health and safety, and must maintain an active awareness of and willingness to advocate for the well being of all participants.
Database Administrator – Miami, FL
The Database Administrator is a full-time senior member with overall responsibility for organizing and integrating all information related to the organization. This position will play a crucial role in effectively managing and implementing a comprehensive Database that will serve the needs of many departments, including, but not limited to, Development, Communications, and Finance. The Database Administrator will lead efforts to capture, organize, use and analyze constituent data to achieve department and organizational objectives within the guidelines of the policies and procedures.

The Development Associate is charged with recruiting new participants and teams, retaining alumni, increasing participant fundraising and providing excellent customer service to all participants in the Best Buddies Challenge Rides (which support Best Buddies International). The goals and direct responsibilities associated with this position are to increase participant recruitment while providing positive relationships through Executive Committee management resulting in increased participation and revenue.

The Development Coordinator is responsible for providing logistical support to specific fundraising and fund development initiatives, including special events, grants, and donor development, including management of online fundraising, tracking, and reporting.

The Deputy Director, Development will collaborate with the State Director to secure revenue programs and to promote the mission of Best Buddies. Specifically, the DDOD is expected to ensure the success of state fundraising events and to secure new corporate and individual funding.
