Maddy Hanlon-Oviatt, Chapter President, and Jenny Ramirez, Buddy Director, are student leaders at Palo Verde Best Buddies Chapter. They are a Buddy Pair which is a one-to-one friendship match that is made through their Best Buddies Chapter between a student with and without a disability for the school year. This School Friendship program aim to foster new friendships within schools, promoting our mission of inclusion and moving us closer to a world of acceptance and understanding.

The Best Buddies school chapter at Palo Verde High School was presented with the Outstanding Chapter Award at the 2024 Best Buddies Leadership Conference: Every Buddy Belongs, held July 19-21 at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Palo Verde High School was selected from several Best Buddies high school programs throughout the world.
