The Best Buddies Leadership Conference (BBLC) 2024 was an unforgettable event, marked by the enthusiasm and dedication of the Pennsylvania delegation. Over 80 participants from across the state, representing high schools, colleges, the ambassador program, and advisors, gathered to learn, share, and celebrate the mission of Best Buddies.

Our Pennsylvania delegation was diverse and vibrant, with students and advisors eager to enhance their leadership skills and deepen their commitment to inclusion. The energy and passion they brought to the conference were palpable, setting a high standard for others to follow. The conference was packed with educational sessions and workshops designed to empower and inspire. Our participants attended a variety of sessions tailored to their roles, from high school students to advisors. Each session offered valuable insights and practical tools that our delegation is excited to bring back to Pennsylvania to implement on their campuses and within their communities.

One of the standout events was the Festival of Friendship. This lively celebration showcased the essence of Best Buddies: building meaningful connections. Pennsylvania delegates participated in interactive activities, forging new friendships across the globe and strengthening existing ones. The Best Buddies Olympics was another highlight, filled with fun and friendly competition for our PA group!

A particularly proud moment for Pennsylvania was when the Villanova chapter president, Olivia Morin, spoke during a breakout session. The session focused on bridging the gap adult participants who have aged out of the college program to our community programs. This discussion was both insightful and inspiring, offering practical strategies to ensure a seamless transition for participants as they move through the Best Buddies life cycle.

The knowledge and experiences gained at BBLC 2024 have left the Pennsylvania delegation energized and ready to make a difference. They are eager to implement new ideas and strategies to enhance their programs and foster greater inclusion within their schools and communities.
