Nikki Fenello’s journey with Best Buddies began in 2014 during her high school years at Seneca Valley High School. Her dedication and passion for the organization were evident from the start, as she eagerly participated in various programs and events. After graduating, Nikki seamlessly transitioned to the Best Buddies program at Slippery Rock University, where she continued to thrive for four years. In 2020, she became a part of the Citizens Program, further solidifying her commitment to the Best Buddies mission.

Nikki’s contributions to Best Buddies in Pennsylvania have been nothing short of remarkable. She has played a crucial role in advancing the organization’s mission of fostering friendships and inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her involvement spans numerous capacities, showcasing her versatility and dedication.

Nikki’s impact extends beyond our friendship program. She has been a compelling advocate, speaking at various events such as the Taste Buds gala, where her words inspired many. Additionally, her appearances on the news to discuss Best Buddies have helped raise awareness and support. Nikki’s leadership skills have also shone through in her role as a Pennsylvania State Ambassador, she has attended and presented at four ambassador training sessions, empowering others to become effective advocates.

Her commitment to continuous growth and excellence was evident at the 2024 Best Buddies Leadership Conference, where she was selected for the new advanced ambassador track. This prestigious recognition spotlighted a small cohort of the best of the best! It highlights her exceptional skills and dedication to our mission. Nikki’s influence also extends to the advisory level, as she serves on the Pittsburgh Advisory Board, contributing her insights and experience to guide the organization’s direction.
