Best Buddies Living is excited to announce its newest location in Austin, Texas! Best Buddies Living is an inclusive housing program that is largely like any other roommate experience; however, it is intentionally inclusive! Best Buddies Living offers an inviting roommate experience for individuals with and without intellectual or developmental disabilities. Best Buddies Living creates a supportive environment where everyone is empowered to achieve their individual goals and dreams.

After wide success across many locations, Best Buddies Living has far surpassed its initial expansion goals. Austin is excited to welcome Best Buddies Living’s newest location right near UT at The Standard. Residents will be able to enjoy the experience of being close to a college campus through nearby events and restaurants along with reliable public transportation.

At Best Buddies Living, each resident individually fills their days with obligations such as work or school. In the evenings and weekends, the group comes together for weekly dinners and four monthly events. These events provide scaffolding for genuine friendships to occur. Residents also have the opportunity to work with the on-site residential manager who helps residents achieve their individual goals in categories such as cooking, cleaning, money management, social skills, and more! Every support plan is customized and evolve with the participant.
