A new inclusive living program has arrived in Ann Arbor, Michigan! Best Buddies Living is an innovative housing opportunity for individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). While much like any other roommate experience, this program is intentionally designed to create a community that celebrates inclusion, personal growth, and independence.

At Best Buddies Living, residents fill their days with work, classes, and personal activities. In the evenings and on weekends, they come together for weekly group dinners and four monthly events, creating natural opportunities for genuine friendships to form. Residents also receive individualized support from an on-site Residential Manager, who helps them build key independent living skills in areas such as cooking, cleaning, money management, and social communication. Each support plan is customized and evolves along with the participant.

Best Buddies Living is thrilled to expand to Ann Arbor with its newest location at The Legacy, conveniently located near the University of Michigan. Residents will enjoy access to local restaurants, campus events, and reliable public transportation, all while living in a welcoming and supportive community.

The Living program is open to individuals over the age of 18 who are ready to embrace independent living. Residents are asked to participate in weekly group meals and activities, maintain employment or attend a higher education program, and support fellow residents.
