Friendship Walk 2025 – A Celebration of Community, Inclusion & Impact

This year’s Best Buddies Friendship Walk was more than just a fundraiser—it was a celebration of unity, inclusion, and the power of community. Held at the University of Tulsa, the 2025 Walk brought together hundreds of participants from across the state, each walking to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and to promote a future of friendship and belonging for all.
The energy was high and the love was even higher, with buddy pairs, families, coworkers, and students proudly representing their teams and sharing their stories along the route. From vibrant signs to shirts and shared laughter, the walk was a visible, joyful expression of Best Buddies’ mission in action.
Several teams stood out for their commitment and enthusiasm. Bixby West took home the title of Top School Team, showing up with incredible spirit and participation. Their dedication to creating inclusive school communities continues to inspire others in the region.
Addie Tipton, this year’s Top Individual Fundraiser, proved that one person can make an incredible impact. Through social media campaigns, personal outreach, and a deep belief in the mission, Addie raised vital funds to support Best Buddies’ programming across Oklahoma.
In the corporate world, the Touchpoint Team Tulsa claimed the Top Corporate Team honor. Their strong company culture of giving back and showing up for community causes makes them a model for corporate inclusion and leadership.
And finally, the Top Friends & Family Team went to Pleasant Adventures, whose presence was both heartfelt and high-energy. With every step, they showed what happens when friends, family, and fun come together in support of a cause that truly matters.
The 2025 Friendship Walk not only raised funds, but lifted hearts and reminded everyone in attendance of the simple truth: inclusion is not a moment—it’s a movement. And in Oklahoma, that movement is stronger than ever.
