Yulia and Kaitlin would like to tell you about the difference you are making as a loyal Best Buddies donor.
Yulia and Kaitlin, who are both 17, have been buddies for more than two years. Yulia inspired Kaitlin to start up a Best Buddies chapter at Nolensville High School (Tennessee), after the two met in art class in 2016.
Ever since then, they’ve been inseparable, and go everywhere together, including Nashville Predators games, and, of course, Best Buddies meetings. “Yulia is one of my best friends and shares my love of ice cream and dance parties,” Kaitlin says.
In 2018, Yulia and Kaitlin were given the opportunity to attend Best Buddies Leadership Conference (BBLC) together, where Yulia trained to become a Best Buddies Ambassador, and Kaitlin honed her leadership skills for her role as Chapter President at their high school. In fact, this thank-you video was shot there!
During the Leadership Conference, they were able to spend a lot of time together, encouraging each other with hugs and high fives. At the time, Kaitlin said that BBLC has “just been a great opportunity to make new friends and we love hanging out together.”
