Chris Lindstrom and Michael Kozicki recruiting volunteers, featured on Fox 5 Atlanta.

Chris Lindstrom, offensive lineman for the Atlanta Falcons, and Michael Kozicki, Best Buddies Global Ambassador, tag-teamed a room recruiting supporters for Best Buddies at the software company VMWare. “I would give them the intro and Mike would give them all of his experience,” explained Chris to Fox 5 Atlanta.

Chris says his little sister inspired him to volunteer with Best Buddies. “She’s on the autism spectrum, and that’s why I’ve always had an appreciation and a love for people with intellectual disabilities,” said Chris.

“When I heard that he has a sister with autism, well, that allowed me to open up because I have a disability. Somehow, that’s the part that made it click. We just got to be friends,” said Mike.

“As a professional athlete, you have a platform, and you have a responsibility,”  urged Lindstom. “To use this platform for good. And I really have a love for Best Buddies. I think it does so many great things.”
