Jimmy Howley is an amazing part of the Best Buddies CT Citizens program. He is always full of energy, new ideas, and a bright smile! Since joining Best Buddies last year, Jimmy has learned so much and made many friends.

Learning and Growing

Jimmy loves to attend ambassador and transition trainings. These trainings help him learn important skills like public speaking, building confidence, and searching for jobs. Jimmy is always interested and engaged during these sessions. He is excited to share new ideas and learn from others. These skills help Jimmy in many ways, and his confidence has grown tremendously!

Fun and Friendship

One of Jimmy’s favorite events is the Friendship Walk in Hartford. This walk is a special time where everyone comes together to celebrate friendship and inclusion. Jimmy loves being part of the excitement and enjoys every moment with his buddies.

Jimmy is also a Mission Partner to Desiree Lee for the Champion of the Year event. In July, Jimmy and Desiree organized a Red Robin fundraiser in West Hartford. They worked hard and raised over $1,000 to support Best Buddies’ local programs. This money helps make sure more people can enjoy the wonderful experiences that Jimmy has.

Strong Friendships

Being part of the Citizens program, Jimmy is matched in a one-to-one friendship. He loves spending time with his buddy, going to game nights, and attending all the activities with a big smile on his face. Jimmy says, “Best Buddies means to me that you’ll have a friend and be able to network and learn wherever you go!” His friendship with his buddy is very special to him, and they always have a great time together.
