Best Buddies in Palm Beach is delighted to announce its selection to participate in the 2025 Great Charity Challenge (GCC), proudly sponsored by Fidelity Investments®. Over the past 15 years, the GCC has raised and donated an impressive $21.7 million to 339 local charities. This year, the event aims to raise an additional $2 million to benefit participating organizations.

The GCC will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Wellington International in Wellington, FL. Best Buddies will be among 30+ charities competing in this thrilling equestrian relay competition. Each charity is guaranteed a minimum of $15,000, regardless of their team’s performance, ensuring every organization benefits from this incredible event. Thanks to Wellington International’s generosity in covering all event costs, 100% of donations will go directly to 501(c)(3) organizations.

In January, Best Buddies will be randomly paired with a team sponsor, a corporate sponsor, and three riders. The competition involves three relay-style courses with seven obstacles each. Riders take turns completing the courses, and time penalties are added for faults such as knocked-down jumps or refusals. The team with the fastest time across all 21 fences will win the grand prize of $100,000.
