The 2025 Champion of the Year Gala was truly “The Greatest Show”, bringing together community members, supporters, and friends for an unforgettable evening celebrating inclusion, friendship, and the incredible work of our Champion candidates. With a vibrant Greatest Showman theme, guests stepped into a world of wonder, complete with dazzling décor, uplifting performances, and heartfelt storytelling, all in support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across Arizona.

This year, we proudly honored 10 remarkable Champion candidates, each of whom dedicated 10 weeks to raising awareness, sharing the mission of Best Buddies, and rallying support across the state. Their collective effort resulted in an astounding achievement: more than \$400,000 raised to fuel life-changing Friendship, Jobs and Leadership programs.

Our 2025 Champion of the Year title was awarded to Heleana Davis, who partnered with her mission partner, Olivia, to raise an inspiring \$88,360. Their teamwork, passion, and commitment stood out throughout the campaign, and their story moved everyone in the room. Both Heleana and Olivia have been shining examples of what it means to lead with compassion and purpose.

Gala Committee Chair Carmella Aja Gregory shared her gratitude and pride as the evening came to a close:

“This event was more than a celebration; it was a testament to what happens when a community comes together with heart and intention. Every candidate showed tremendous dedication, and the energy in the room was absolutely electric.
