At Best Buddies International, we believe leadership comes in many forms — and that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) deserve opportunities to pursue their passions, grow their skills, and bring their ideas to life.

This fall, Best Buddies is proud to launch the pilot of Best Buddies Entrepreneurs (BBE), a new leadership development initiative designed for participants who have an existing business — or a business idea they are excited to grow.

Applications for the pilot program will officially open on May 15, 2026, inviting participants to apply for a unique opportunity focused on entrepreneurship, leadership, and professional growth.

The seven-month program will provide participants with monthly virtual masterclasses focused on business foundations, marketing, networking, financial literacy, storytelling, and business strategy. Throughout the experience, participants will work alongside a dedicated Business Success Team made up of mentors, staff support, accountability partners, and business professionals to develop and refine a personalized business plan.

At Best Buddies, we believe in elevating diverse voices, perspectives, and ideas. Best Buddies Entrepreneurs was created to help individuals with IDD build confidence, strengthen professional skills, and pursue opportunities in entrepreneurial spaces where their talents and ideas deserve to be seen and celebrated.

The program will conclude with a capstone experience in Miami in January 2027, where participants will present their businesses and ideas in a Shark Tank-style showcase.
