Best Buddies Family Support provides families with essential resources to navigate raising a child with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Its pioneering program, Eunie’s Buddies, honors Eunice Kennedy Shriver, a dedicated advocate for individuals with IDD and founder of Special Olympics.

Shriver, 53, who founded the nonprofit program Best Buddies, which advocates for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, shared fond memories of his cousin, Christopher Lawford, who died from a heart attack at age 63 on Tuesday, as well as his aunt, Rosemary Kennedy, whose disability spurred the foundation of Best Buddies.
Best Buddies Internationa is thrilled to present its Best Buddies Challenge: Miami Chaired by Kenneth C. Griffin and Griffin Catalyst and Presented by the Andrew P. Barowsky Foundation, and Mack Cycle & Fitness, and the Jersey Mike’s Subs Best Buddies Miami Gala on Saturday, November 15 at MANA Wynwood. Collectively, this year’s bike ride and Gala are expected to raise $5 million for Best Buddies programs.
