Global Best Buddies NDEAM Event

We are welcoming people and organizations from around the globe to join us this October, as we celebrate NDEAM-National Disability Employment Awareness Month! NDEAM recognizes the essential role people with disabilities play in economic success and encourages and supports inclusive workplace practices.

The Department of Labor’s NDEAM theme this year is Access to Good Jobs for All, with a goal of ensuring that disabled workers have access to good jobs, every month of every year. While we take the month of October to celebrate the value and talent that workers with disabilities add to our workplaces and economy, we also hope this continues to be valued throughout each month of the year.

Our Best Buddies Event Theme will be Inclusion is Universal, because everybody benefits from a more inclusive world. We will discuss universal design and making sure everyone has a seat at the table, but once we make it to the table, where do we go from there? Tune in to find out!

Event highlights:

1. Gameshow-Style Interactive Training

Join us for a high-energy, gameshow-style micro-training session with some celebrity guest appearances! This is not your typical training!

2. Round Table Discussion on Career Paths for People with IDD

Join thought leaders and industry experts in a discussion focused on creating meaningful career paths for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This is your chance to be part of a transformative conversation that is shaping the future of inclusive employment.

3. Inclusive Partner Spotlight and Tangible Take-Aways

Discover the incredible work of our inclusive partners who are leading the way in creating supportive workplaces. Be sure to stick around to the end, where we will summarize the practical and actionable insights that you can implement in your own organization.
