Global Best Buddies NDEAM Event
Inclusion is Human: There’s Value in All of Us
Join us this October as we celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) highlighting how inclusive cultures are built with intention, empathy, and collective action. NDEAM reminds us of the indispensable role that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) play in our workplaces and communities. While we spotlight the power of inclusion during October, our commitment extends year-round to weaving accessibility, opportunity, and belonging into every day.
2026 Event Features
Every person brings something valuable to the workplace: strengths, perspectives, ideas, and a willingness to try something new. When people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have opportunities to learn, grow, and build meaningful careers, everyone benefits.
Throughout October, our #WorkplaceWednesday series will share stories of employees, employers, and partnerships showing what inclusive employment looks like in action.

About Best Buddies Jobs
The Best Buddies Jobs program represents one of our organization’s five key mission pillars, Integrated Employment. This program secures jobs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), allowing them to earn an income, pay taxes, and continuously and independently support themselves.
The Jobs program places focus beyond the typical jobs in which a person with IDD might be placed. Best Buddies focuses on finding work that matches the job seeker’s interests and talents.
