Best Buddies in Delaware kicked off the holiday season with a truly magical celebration at Longwood Gardens, bringing together more than 200 students, advisors, volunteers, and participants for an unforgettable evening of inclusion, friendship, and festive cheer. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Longwood’s renowned holiday displays, the event was a perfect way to begin the season and celebrate the bonds that make Best Buddies so special.

Guests spent the evening exploring the beautifully illuminated gardens, taking in the twinkling lights, seasonal decorations, and vibrant displays that filled the grounds. Along the way, participants enjoyed warm cups of hot cocoa and plenty of time to connect, laugh, and spend quality moments with their buddies. The night was filled with great conversations, shared moments, and fun interactions that reflected Best Buddies’ mission of building one-to-one friendships and inclusive communities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The event also served as an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the incredible dedication of Best Buddies advisors, whose continued commitment and support play a vital role in the success of the organization. Their hard work and passion do not go unnoticed, and the evening was a small token of appreciation for all that they do throughout the year!

Best Buddies Delaware extends special thanks to the Bank of America chapter for their ongoing involvement and strong turnout, as well as to Best Buddies Pennsylvania for joining in the celebration and helping make the night even more memorable.
