Working to make Springfield more inclusive, Best Buddies held their Friendship Walk at Lincoln Land Community College. The event serves as a way to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities build friendships and find jobs. Organizers say it’s also an opportunity for individuals to advocate for themselves.

MIAMI (WSVN) - Some of Best Buddies’ best buddies took over the streets of Downtown Miami, as they went on a fun-filled walk for a good cause, Saturday morning.
Miami, FL, February 25, 2019 — Best Buddies International, a groundbreaking nonprofit founded in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver to establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), is excited to announce the Best Buddies Friendship Walk: South Florida on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Maurice A Ferré Park in Downtown Miami.
Best Buddies International hosted the Ed Ansin Best Buddies Friendship Walk: Miami on April 6 at loanDepot Park and raised $345,000.
