MIAMI, FL., November 19, 2018 – Nearly 700 people attended the 22nd Annual Best Buddies Miami Gala: Le Cirque de la Nuit at Mana Wynwood, Florida on Friday, November 16. The star-studded event raised $2.8 million in total donations for Best Buddies International.
On October 20, Actress and Best Buddies International supporter Cheryl Hines was interviewed on Insider about her current projects as well as philanthropic efforts. The actress spoke about her excitement to be returning for a ninth season on the hit HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Shriver, 53, who founded the nonprofit program Best Buddies, which advocates for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, shared fond memories of his cousin, Christopher Lawford, who died from a heart attack at age 63 on Tuesday, as well as his aunt, Rosemary Kennedy, whose disability spurred the foundation of Best Buddies.
