“Everything that’s happening with the coronavirus is like the antithesis of what Best Buddies is about. We work everyday to promote social inclusion,” said David Quilleon, the Senior Vice President of the Best Buddies Global Mission.<\/p>\n
That in-person connection has been halted, but the purple light on the Boynton Beach water tower is giving this community comfort.<\/p>\n
“Hopefully it’s a reminder to everyone who is feeling isolated or feeling alone that we all can be beacons of light for people,” said Quilleon.<\/p>\n
A group that already felt isolated from the world – now feels even more alone because of the coronavirus outbreak – But Best Buddies is encouraging their community to stay connected online.<\/p>\n
