Happy Fall everyone! Join us this month for some fun fall events both in person and virtually. These activities are free and open to all Best Buddies program participants unless the event specifically says it is for a particular group.
We are excited to continue virtual events but also hopefully see some of you in person again! Please make sure you’re being as safe as possible during our in-person events! We HIGHLY encourage for you to be vaccinated but it is not mandatory. If you are not yet vaccinated, please make sure to wear a mask and be as socially distant as possible.

Best Buddies VA & DC: Day at the Ballpark

Join Best Buddies VA & DC for a day watching the Nationals play the Red Sox on October 3rd at 3:05 PM at Nats Park. Best Buddies to invite all school chapters, citizens, jobs, living, and volunteers to come together as a community and celebrate last year’s successes and look forward to a new school year! We will all be seated in the same section for the game and the Nationals events team has very kindly offered us tickets in section 304 at the discounted price of $29. A portion of the proceed will benefit our mission.
Accenture Virtual Interview Skills Ambassador Training

Even with some workers going back to in-person work, virtual interviews are bound to be a huge part of the interview and hiring process in the future. So, Accenture and Best Buddies has teamed up to offer you a fun and informational training on virtual interviews! We will have some fun get to know you time with games, learn about virtual interview dos and don’ts, and debunk some virtual interview myths! We will also get some time to practice with our awesome speech coaches from Accenture. This will be on ZOOM.

Join Best Buddies Living in the spookiest evening of the year! We will be going on a Capitol Hill Ghost tour with National Nightmares LLC. Join us for a late night of scary stories, frightening sights and many laughs. Tickets are limited and cost $10 each. All ticket proceeds will benefit BBL’s Champion of the Year Candidate’s Barbara and Nicole.

Get your spy gear on Citizens because we’re taking a spooky visit to the International Spy Museum on October 31st (Halloween)! We’ll take a trip around the incredible museum and set off on a mission as a group, exploring the amazing interactive and informative displays they have to offer! Champions of Inclusion Celebration
November 5th
Join Best Buddies VA & DC for our Champions of the Year celebration on November 5th. Through raising funds and awareness for Best Buddies, our Champions will generate countless opportunities for friendships, jobs, leadership development and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). At the campaign’s conclusion, we will join together to celebrate each other’s accomplishments, honor the Champions’ collective impact, and name the ultimate Champion of the Year!
Help us continue to provide these meaningful opportunities to people with IDD by supporting a Champion’s campaign, purchasing tickets, becoming a corporate sponsor, or making a general donation to the cause.
