The Quilleon Family Memorial Scholarship
Best Buddies International is honored to announce the Quilleon Family Memorial Scholarship in memory of Mr. John Quilleon who passed away on January 20, 2017. John and his wife, Bobbie, have been longtime supporters and volunteers with Best Buddies, helping to spread the mission of friendship, inclusion, and volunteerism since joining the organization in 1991. As parents of two children with intellectual disabilities, Ken and Kendra Holden, their commitment to the disabilities community and advocacy efforts around the state continue to influence change and create opportunities for people with disabilities in Tampa Bay area and state of Florida.
The Quilleon Family Memorial Scholarship will provide scholarship opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who will attend the annual Best Buddies Leadership Conference. The conference, led by their youngest son, David, who serves as Best Buddies’ Senior Vice President of Global Mission, State Development and Operations, provides leadership training opportunities for volunteers in Best Buddies’ friendship, leadership and jobs programs.
We are honored to celebrate the memory of John Quilleon and the qualities and family values that he embraced during his lifetime. Thank you for your support of the Quilleon Family Memorial Scholarship and honoring the life of John Quilleon.
