We have a great partnership with Microsoft and Compass Group (so cool, I know!!) and they have agreed to help us with some job readiness training and some really cool volunteer opportunities. These will be taking place every 3rd Wednesday of the month.

This an opportunity for potential jobs participants and Citizens!

The Best Buddies Citizens Program creates one-to-one friendships between adults (18+) with and without intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) in the community. These friendships are made based on age, location and common interests. Friendship matches talk at least once a week and meet up at least twice a month (virtually or in-person based on comfort level).  Matches are made for a full year and if everything is going well, the friendship is renewed. Best Buddies has a multi-step application process, that includes an online application, background check and a phone call or video interview.

  The Mock interview includes getting to practice your interview skills and receive feedback from Microsoft Employees! Interviewing can bring out nerves so it’s something we want to practice as much as possible. This will include dressing like you were interviewing for a job, very professional and making sure you’re looking your best!
