Vice President Development and Donor Management
Julie Katz is committed to helping donors create impact through philanthropy. As a mission-driven professional, Julie is inspired by opportunities to create meaningful, positive, and sustainable change. In 2018, she joined Best Buddies as Vice President, Development and Donor Management. In this role, she and her team work with friends, alumni, and donors of the organization to advance Best Buddies International’s mission of friendship and inclusion.
Before joining Best Buddies, Julie held fundraising roles at both Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and Brandeis University. She also founded and served as Executive Director of Everybody Wins! South Florida, now Read to a Child, a lunchtime literacy and mentoring organization.
She received her MBA with a concentration in Children, Youth and Family Services from Brandeis University’s Heller School of Social Policy and Management and her BA from Washington University in St. Louis with a major in Psychology and minors in Writing and Anthropology. Julie earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential in 2016.
Julie lives in Miami and loves to travel. While she hasn’t been everywhere yet, it’s on the list.
