Indiana’s Best Buddies Jobs Program Receives Three-Year Accreditation from CARF International
Indiana’s Best Buddies Jobs program recently received a Three-Year Accreditation from CARF International which represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards for a provider of supported employment services.
The surveyor singled out several strengths of Best Buddies Indiana Jobs program including:
“The organization’s leadership is made up of experienced, knowledgeable, and entrepreneurial persons who are dedicated to the field of rehabilitation, have enhanced its capacity to provide high-quality services, and are fervent about its mission. The staff members are very qualified, experienced and dedicated to the enhancement of the participants’ quality of life.”
“It is evident that the participants’ rights are respected and protected by the staff members. A high level of dignity and respect is given to each and every participant, and confidentiality is highly maintained.”
“BBIN/BBJIN has a very person-centered approach to job development and retention. Jobs are customized to meet the participants’ strengths, preferences, and needs. The staff members develop jobs that are often not the typical employment paths for persons with intellectual disabilities.”
There are multiple employers in the greater Indianapolis working with BBIN Jobs to hire jobs participants at their businesses. The staff is working with Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation Services for referral candidates for these positions and looks forward to placing more participants in exciting new careers in the very near future.
