Best Buddies Ambassadors: Zach Curtis
“Before Best Buddies, I didn’t have very many friends outside of the Special Education Classroom. Getting actively involved in Best Buddies changed that.” – Zach Curtis
With a friendly disposition and kind heart, Zach Curtis has been such an influential Ambassador for Best Buddies. From Fishers, IN, he has been a part of Best Buddies in Middle School, High School, and now in the Butler University Chapter, where he serves as Buddy Director.
Currently, he works at First Internet Bank and loves his job. Zach has helped raise awareness about Best Buddies and advocated for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through meeting people and giving speeches at community events and schools. He has also attended the Best Buddies Leadership Conference in Bloomington, IN to hone his leadership and speech-giving skills. Keep it up, Zach!
Best Buddies Ambassadors is a program that provides training for participants with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in areas of speech writing, public speaking, self-advocacy, and leadership. The Ambassadors program creates opportunities for participants to advocate for their passions and promote Best Buddies programs.
