Grant Boosts Jobs Program For Hoosiers With Disabilities
INDIANAPOLIS –A $150,000 grant from the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust in Indianapolis will support a program for Hoosiers with disabilities. Best Buddies Indiana says the funding will pay for employment specialists to help connect individuals with disabilities to job opportunities.
Best Buddies Indiana State Director Natalie Seibert says “we are thrilled to receive this grant from the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust so that we can expand the resources and services we have available for people with IDD. Our goals for the jobs program in Indiana are to display the skills and talents of individuals with IDD, connect them with potential employers and provide ongoing support to the employee and employer. We believe that through the Best Buddies Jobs program we can create life-changing opportunities for our participants and for companies in Indiana.”
The grant covers two years of the Best Buddies Jobs program. Nearly two dozen Indiana nonprofits have received funding from the Charitable Trust so far this year.
Best Buddies Indiana serves more than 5,500 youths and adults of all ages. You can connect to more about the organization by clicking here.
