Meet Lindsay Eaton
“My name is Lindsay and I am a Best Buddies Arizona ambassador. I serve on the Friendship Walk committee and I am part of Best Buddies International’s Young Leadership Council. I am also employed at Medtronics.
“I began Best Buddies as a freshman in high school. I remember one morning before my first day of school I began to cry. When my mother asked why I was crying I told her that I was about to enter into a new school with 2,000 students and I did not have one friend! That was very scary.
“It was my first peer buddy Elaine, and then Meaghan, who taught me to reach for more than what I once thought capable. They taught me how to be confident, independent and to realize that I can achieve anything I desire.
“Since joining Best Buddies, I have made many friends and I now have the opportunity to speak at several events throughout the year. As an ambassador, I get to be a voice for others within the IDD community at both the local and national level.
“Best Buddies has truly changed my life. I am not known for my disabilities, but I am known for my AWESOMENESS!”
